PORTONE, ART, LABORATORY

PORTONE, ART, LABORATORY. is an organization in which the members of the advertising production company PORTEIGHT Inc. research art and produce and sell works of art.
Japanese art has diversified while retaining its own unique appeal, such as Buddhist statues and ink paintings that incorporated Chinese culture, Ukiyoe prints that matured in the Edo period, and paintings that incorporated Western painting techniques from the Meiji period. The members of PORTEIGHT Inc. also have a passion for artisanal craftsmanship and aesthetics rooted in Japan, and have developed by flexibly incorporating foreign cultures. The group is made up of members with backgrounds. We have named the group PORT (Harbor/Connect) ONE (Only One) with the intention of creating an experimental work of art and sending out a unique work of art, utilizing the individuality of each member, with a view to analyzing, deconstructing, and constructing things from an advertising perspective and the most advanced technology used for video.
In addition to the members of PORTEIGHT Inc. we are also planning to invite other artists who are researching and experimenting with art to join our organization and produce it. We hope that our activities will contribute to the future of the Japanese art world and make our daily lives more colorful.
